How It Started
During the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, I launched Spotrun as a personal initiative to stay active and healthy.
I registered for Comrades marathon which is one of the world’s longest marathons and I needed to train to overcome a grueling 90km (55.9 miles). Having it canceled, I decided to run and completed it right on the spot.
In January 2021, I committed to running daily, matching each day’s distance to its date (e.g., 1km on the 1st, 2km on the 2nd, and so on). Midway through the month, I noticed a significant and unexpected drop in weight. Intrigued by the impact, I reached out to the experts at Sports Medical Services to initiate a scientific study on Spotrun and uncover its true health benefits.
